The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations which is an intergovernmental organization consisting of 191 Member Nations with the mission to make sure people have regular access to enough high quality food to lead active, healthy lives, started celebrating the first World Milk Day on the 1st of June 2001.
